Webcash is an EFT based real-time payment processing engine. This means that even though the payments we process are mostly made by EFT (Electronic Funds Transfer), our innovative technology means that they are cleared in a matter of seconds. We support EFT payments from all the major banks in South Africa, but also provide for online credit card payments in the usual way, should your client's bank not be listed.

As a merchant:

Webcash will take care of your online payments processing. Since the majority of transactions are EFT our costs are much lower than online credit card processing and we pass that saving onto you. You could save as much as 70% on your current online credit card transaction costs! In addition there are no minimum monthly fees or set-up costs.

So how does it work?

Once you have registered with us, you simply POST a form with certain details (such as the amount being processed, goods description, unique transaction ID) to our server. We take the purchaser through the payment process and clear the payment in real-time. Our server lets your system know when a successful transaction has occured. You may login to the Webcash site at any time and perform the following:

• View your processed transactions
• Download a csv file of your processed transactions
• Request to be paid out
• Update your account details

As a client:

You will be directed to the Webcash payments page (SSL encrypted). After selecting your bank you will be given instructions to make a once off payment using a unique beneficiary reference. Once you have completed the payment you will click the "Process transaction" button, upon which your transaction will be procesed and the merchant notified of your purchase.
